So i decided to go with the name 'Ashes' for her, though her real name is Selene. Tweaked her coloring a bit, though she won't be wearing the pastel sweater in Wayward Wings. Speaking of that, I rather like this picture...it kinda symbolizes why I named the story that in the first place. All of the characters have something to do with 'flight'...Jodie's the daughter of air force members, Kip actually has wings, Simon dreams of dragons...and Ashes here...she just wants to touch the stars.

Looks like you managed to shake off that block. This came out pretty good I think. One could argue about the placement of your shading, but what you have here already gives the picture a very good amount of dimention. The only thing really missing is on the arms, which look a little flat in comparison. But you're definatly learning.
It is kind of interesting that we get to see sort of what if's with the cast of Wings through your art.
We get to see them as they are today, as they fight, and we cheer them on.
But then we get to see a sort of "Hey, if things were peaceful and had taken a different route." through the more kiddish art.
It makes some stuff, like with Simon's issues at home, have a bit more impact at times, I think.

There's nothing wrong with being an evil author, Reva. I may believe in happy endings, but my characters have to WORK for them. A happy ending is a privilege, not a right. So they will suffer, and they will lose the ones they love, and they will know pain, and they will be hurt, and they shall see their world (whether metaphorical or real) brought to the verge of destruction… because if they're still fighting for that happy ending, then they've earned it. If they're not, they've probably died by that point.

Also, you say her real name is Selena, I'm thinking; did you read my comment and thought that would be a good idea or what? Just asking. Cause I kinda said something about her name being Ashes, but her real name was Selena. Anyway, love this pic! Great work!
