I knew the problem with the head was the eye holes were way too deep, so I filled those in and brought down the eye ridge. There is nothing I can do about the 2 tone cause the dark is baked and the light is unbaked. The paint will still help more as well but any other suggestions to get it to work? *hint it supposed to look like the character on my icon* Input will help!

Well, if it's gonna look like your icon, there are definitely a couple of thing to rearrange, if you allow me !
The muzzle looks more like one of a pig because it's almost rectangular and flat (cubic even), while you icon shows a very pointy one.
The cheeks are definitely the opposite between the two also. In your figurine, it's horizontally larger at the level of the base of the eyes, on the pic this part is on the contrary the LESS wide one (the side on the right is a little more on-model) ! And it's the cheeks, below, that give all the mass.
Last, I think you opened the mouth far too much, maybe you should've left it as small as in the pic... Rearranging the cheeks will already change a lot in the expression anyway.

Hmm, well the nose is pretty pointy, I might see if I can sand it down some later. The cheeks I can try to fix, that might help. The mouth I didnt think was too open, but I couldnt seem to do small it was alot or none :/ I did just now made the nose ridge wider, so hopefully it will help the eyes, *not shown yet* But I will try to add to the cheeks

oh yeah... like everyone else says, longer muzzle, slender tapered to a point. Look at rat faces. ^^ Um. I think what really throws me off aside from it looking like a pig, is the color as well. But I'm sure that will come later. And the fact you've not put the eyes in yet.
But seriously, as a rough guide, look at pictures of rats...to get an idea of how the muzzle and nose is shaped. Then it will come along quite nicely I think.
