I like the inclusion of the metal legs :3 someone at Nintendo (who wasn't in charge of the older starfox games design wise) claimed the metal legs thing was silly and untrue, but I dont think what he said held water so im glad to see you keeping up the ghost :3

Miyamoto himself stated that them having metal legs was nothing more than a design choice to make them appear more human. Anything else is other people making excuses or looking for explanations that were never intended. Regardless, Nintendo ended up moving away from that look, opting to simply have the characters wear bulky boots.

that makes sense, I never bought the story behind them chopping off their legs for flight purposes thing, I always thought the metal was left over parts of the modeling armature that either was left untouched or more likely modified to be apart of the puppets they used, but yeah from Starfox adventures onward they got away from that idea and now generally Nintendo avoids the topic like they do with anything regarding lore for their games since they generally dont like putting words in the mouths of former co-workers.

(btw I should have mentioned the guy who commented on this was apart of the Starfox Zero team and during a live stream demonstration of the games first level he was telling a story that only he could confirm happened that involved talking to Miyamoto on the topic )
