Usually, dragons are depicted as hibernating in a lair, largely due to ennui or sloth.
But when you are a Favored Soul (the sorceror equivalent of a cleric, kind of like a messiah), and your patron god is Kord, God of Athletics, Sports, Storms, Brawling, Strength, and Courage, you don't sit around on a pile of gold all day. You don't offer prayers to him on a pew in a temple, you offer prayers to him in battle, in sport, and in the way you treat your own body.
There's a cool nod to this idea in some of Greyhawk's lore: Kordite temples are more like gyms that all invariably have sandy battle pits in the central room, where you can test your strength against other devotees and the clergy. A Kordite priest(ess) is usually a very imposing person who will wreck your shit.
While the god doesn't expect you to be ripped, He does expect you to be in shape.

Fun fact! I talked with
ghostwish (our old DM) and the rest of my old group and for a couple of one-off sessions over December I'm going to play this character again while the DM has free time over Christmas break.
Best. Christmas. Gift. Ever.
I will be porting this character over to Pathfinder as an Oracle of Battle, as requested, and have fun with him over the holidays. I'll try to share stories over artwork.

Reminds me how the Fighter I mentioned who looks like some uber enemy that raid bosses team up against and plot complex strategies to take down loves kids and he'll just spend time with some child he's never met before because "why not" and suddenly you've got that bad mother fracker doing something like playing Patty Cake or giving piggy back rides.
