Well at least the good news is that the rent for living in an anthropomorphic building is very... very cheap.
Getting hurt sucks, and would get in the way of a good brawl, so toons pretty much love to fight all the time as long as they don't have to worry about how much it hurts to be flattened and such. Probably doesn't make a human feel any better, though.
