Recently I heard that Polyamorists are considering making the parrot their mascot or symbols.
I say:
fuck that.
That makes no fucking sense! Parrots are monogomous, that's the last choice you could ever make!
What about lions? Lions live together, sometimes even up to three males deep, with even up to five, six, ten, females; all raising the cubs together. If that's not the perfect symbol of what the heart of polyamory is, then I don't know what is.
I had a flash of inspiration for this symbol when I was driving to work. It's a heart design constructed out of other heart designs, each one a part of the whole. It symbolises how in a polyamorous relationship how each member has to be a full part of the whole.
This subject is very close to me.
EDIT: also, I forgot to mention that I technically haven't finished this incarnation of the design. I do have the finished design in pile of papers somewhere (probably got thrown out, actually. . .) and I had started working on this digital design one day so that in case I ever did lose the papers the sketch was on, I'd still have the idea down.

i know that their colors are gold, black, red, and blue, and the symbol they've adopted is the pi symbol, to stand for "P" for polyamory.
that and that their "mascot" is going to be an incredibly ghey parrot with the incredibly ghey name "Polly" to stand for "polyamory".
that's about all i know ^_^

As a matter of curiosity: You don't know me and have no reason to trust me but would you mind if I played with this design a little? If anything comes of my musings I'd be more than happy to ask/show you before it gets posted and would link it back to you. This is really good.
