This is where I left off in my previous - and sadly, botched - commission for Anbessa entitled "Backwoods Betrayal."
The scene he painted for me was very detailed as far as the content and the emotion, but also gave me a lot of room with the mood and execution. that is the perfect environment for an artist in a commission. iit really is a treat to work with people such as Anbessa, and I do feel sorry for botching this commission.
The scene required that I paint two antique vehicles, and while I gave it my best shot, I just couldn't pull it off. I tried my damnedest to work those two out, but in the end, I just couldn't get the perspective right.
One of these days I'm going to come back to this, re-work the background, copy, paste, resize, crop, and rotate the hell out of the fore-ground, and make this a decent picture as a gift for Anbessa. It will be a surprise by then, I'm sure, but that's my hope and goal ^_^
Anyway, I'm going to call this an "animated still" even though it isn't for this sole reason: I am positive that if you look closely enough, you'll know exactly what's going on in this picture. If you're creative enough you might even be able to hear the different conversations or trains of thought. Maybe even you can smell the pine, who knows. All I know is that this is as close to "animated" as you can get without actually drawing out frames.
