one day while i was at work i had a sudden flash of inspiration for gift art. i usually don't make gift art, and it is actually very rare for me to share it with more than just the person it is for, especially since it's usually amongst friends. however, the style of these two little doodles is so drastically different from what i drew a mere few months ago that i need to present them as an example. i'm trying to move away from my photo-realistic style to a more relaxed, animated style. i figure, if i'm going to be making it my living, i might as well get used to it, right?

i wish that i could discuss this topic further, as there is a different angle to it that i wish i could expound upon, but i want to keep this page clean.

they are both very talented artists and good friends.

i doodled both of these up in about forty five minutes, give or take. i think i may tweak them further and add color, but keep it muted, and make the text a little more defined, and i'll call it done. i don't want to overwork it, the beauty is in the simplicity.sometimes we lose that in art.
