One of Loewy's relatives, Kaleidoscope, who is a tiger-snout seahorse. Kalei is (or rather, was) known as a color dancer. Color dancing is a type of performance utilized by critters who can change their colors, like seahorses and chameleons, and resembles a type of acrobatic ballet while the dancer rapidly cycles through colors and patterns. Think of it as a one-being cirque du soleil performance. However, it's not exactly easy to do, considering it takes wild non-anthro seahorses about a day and a half to change their colors. Therefore it's really, REALLY easy to get taxed and go overboard when you're a color dancer.

...Which is exactly what happened to Kalei, who is a stubborn, dramatic shit that tends to work himself way past his limits. While attempting an elaborate mandala design as he spun from a tightrope, he ended up having an accident that caused him to remain permanently in a garish, tie-dyed mess. It led to his early retirement as a color dancer in Vegas, so now he spends all his time driving Loewy bonkers with his (albeit well-meaning) histrionics.

I didn't color in his clothes in this pic because well, my god, look at him. But he tends to usually be wearing that hat and any one pair of toesocks from his massive collection.
