Eh, the furry confusion trope is a necessary evil in furry artwork. XD

That is a true point, especially since most of these would be prey and probably we should be seeing the animals being eaten as opposed to making friends with there food >.>

However for furry artwork like this it is almost a "roll with it" sort of deal and just fuck it X3

This opens up some very weird but important questions. Like; what about meat products? Surely eating meat from another animal would be like eating someone from another racial background.

It really is a interesting question about that, really art like this is quite a paradox in the fandom I feel like because it is a question where is the Furry universe is a universe where all animals evolved without humans to become anthropomorphic and there would be no such things as zoos or pets because it would almost be a kind of enslavement of a race that did not evolve if we did have pets of animals in zoos, such as in this pic X3

However you then see pictures where you have fursonas with pet dogs and cats when they themselves are that same species as there pet and makes you wonder about how meat and things like that would occur and what issue would come out of that.

Just some of the ,any fascinating things with this fandom that get overlooked because that kind of logic is just ignored in the furry universe just because X3
