So I didn't want to wait longer. Saw the vid yesterday, and Andromeda hype got kicked into overdrive. OC HAPPENING. It's early so I'm not finalizing his whole personality or story yet. Just some pre-galactic jump ideas and personality, mostly. And then I had a Dextro Souls design I liked and wanted to use again, and name for him. Have to make at least one -- can't wait!
...then I'll play the game, get all the new ideas, see the new places, and write MORE new OCs for it! :D Hahaha
He's also going to be more narrow and tough, unlike the Tur OC I use most now. Senn is fun, but he's not even how I imagine or want Turians to look. I like the wiry/lanky look to them [[Closer to this (very NSFW) : http://www.furaffinity.net/full/20590034/ ]] that their casual outfits imply, and Andromeda's showing that again. SO EXPECT HIM TO BE THAT WAY WITH FERVOR! :D

You know where the markings came from. Had that old thing with the armor looking like a face... and then when it came time to add markings, I halfway-took from that same idea, and gave his face "fangs" and a bit more. I like how it looks. Like simple warpaint in a way, but just clean and smooth.
Over the eyes, though, is actually new! And was just about to finish all the colore and shading layers, actually, when I went in and said "...gonna make this a little more unique, and put some of his visual identity on his skin."
It's different! At least among my other designs! Glad it's approved of, too!

Agreed with 3033, I honestly love the way you did the markings over the eyelids, too. It's a nice and very unique visual touch, I think. It immediately stood out to me. :)
He's got such a great color scheme too, armor and otherwise, not over the top at all and I love it so very, very much. :3 Gotta see a full-body ref of him one day, I want to see what that armor looks like in full.

Thanks! I like the colors too. It's kinda fun to have that muted chunk of different colors on characters. I can think of one other character/picture I gave colors to the same way, and really like how it turned out. Feels really practical. AND it's a nice contrast to the EXPLOSIONS of color that some of my charas are and bring. Hahaha
Glad that people like him though! I cannot remember ever waking up to more new faves than I just did. Hahaha

I APPROVE OF THAT IDEA
I'm absolutely awful about being outgoing and making characters interact with each other (I never want to impose with ideas), but I do love some good fun chara interaction. Haaha
Yessssssss Andromeda OCs! It almost feels weird that all the other ones/their stuff is about to become somewhat outdated...but I won't be done with them, either. Hopefully. I'll just have to do something now and then for the TrilogyOCs and their cool setting, too, around all the new coolness I hope to enjoy with AndromedaOC stuff and their setting and lore!
...also, I didn't really get into the series as a whole until I bought ME2 and 3 in later 2013. I was late to the party when I played, and later when I stated drawing/made an OC. So now I've don't the OC thing before, having some drawing practice, and will be around from the beginning to have fun with all the things and people that want to! I'm hype. Hahaha

That was absolutely unintentional, but like I said to 3033, it's not a bad accident compared to what COULD happen! I just clearly have no idea of what does or doesn't look cool or good to people. Myself included. Hahahaha
Yeah, that sounds familiar - I was sliiiiiiiightly tempted for a long time. New setting was coming, some slight ideas were there... but just didn't really feel like it was the right time. Until I saw it all the other day. Had to run with it and make Caephe official, at the very least. He exissssssssstsssssssss!
And I fully encourage other people to start exploring ideas. Hahaha
Remember: we may not know the setting yet, or all the new concepts, and it can be hard to finalize character stuff, BUT there's always the fact that Andromeda's charas came from somewhere! There's a bit of familiarity to build a background with, start them up, and send them on their trip to Andromeda a little early! The rest of their story will write itself when they get there. Hahaha

That's exactly what I think too. My character, Fortescue, has his back story and personality basically already written and is ready to go when Andromeda drops and we know exactly what the plot's going to be like. Having the context of them already being from a known origin will definitely make the story when they get there have a solid foundation to go on. Also, the setting is generic enough that you can still put them in a "what would they do in this scenario" situation and know what they're going to be like. Nothing wrong with being prepared!
