PROCESS
Cteno is made from turquoise, pumpkin and fuchsia minky. She has extensive airbrushing.
She is 32" tall. Her eyes were embroidered with a Bernina 830LE embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software and feature gradients. The eyes were based off Slug's work and digitised by me. Her pattern was also designed by me. She has wiring in her arms, legs, neck and tail so that she can stand on her own. She is mildly posable.
Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out.
COMMENTS
Gotta start off by saying that Whisski is one of the loveliest commissioners I have ever worked with. They were extremely helpful and collaborative, and there is no way I could have made Cteno what she is without their help.
I've wanted to plush one of Slug's gals for awhile now, such a different and challenging style to convert to 3d. But to be asked to make Cteno of all characters, was just a blessing. I had SO much fun making her. She was extremely challenging (over 7 fully sewn test bodies and probably 9 or so sewn heads). I just loved working on all her curves (especially pushing that butt to the max), plus all her bright colours. I especially love her eyes, please give them a zoom. Anyway, I'll leave her here to enjoy :). I hope I get to make many curvy plush in the future.
