Empty Soul is a fearful Keh'kitteh. All of Windchill has the reputation, but Soul is kind of extreme about it. His fear happens to be a great opportunity to cause chaos for a Bloodreaper, because fear can lead one to do irrational things. So Apocalypse has stepped in to convince Soul that the only real way to achieve safety, is to rid oneself of all potential threats...which means everyone. Of course that's not where it starts out with its little lies and distorted truths but that is the ultimate direction things start turning towards. In the beginning, Apocalypse simply convinces Soul that it is only there to help and be a friend. That it will help him achieve the things that he desires, and help suppress the fear.
