Great job for a first attempt! It's looking really nice! I assume you're gonna carve the scales into it with a fine point?
The nice thing about Sculpey is you can improvise tools if you don't have the "proper" ones. Back when I used to sculpt stuff, I used a sewing needle for really fine details.
I can't wait to see this completed!

I may or may not do the scales, her head 'stripe' or plates yes but they will be separate clay pieces. I bought a lot of sculpting tools so I think I'll be okay.. The sculpture is a bit too soft to work with currently so I'm going to let it harden up a little bit before working on it again!
