PokeCember: Day 1 - Favourite Grass-Type

So I was browsing FA earlier today, and stumbled upon this art prompt.

I recently reorganized my desk with the hopes of making art a bit easier (I can move my drawing tablet a bit more freely now instead of having to work around where it is), and with all the SuMo hype going on (I’ve had an absolute blast with it, and yes, I will be drawing Gen7 Pokemon for this relatively soon), I figured - hey, why not?

I’m thinking right now that I’m going to end up drawing a mix of anthro and regular Pokes for this. I’ve already planned out which Pokemon I’ll draw for this, so provided nothing goes horrifically wrong (i.e. I discover I can’t even remotely get a Pokemon looking right), there hopefully won’t be too much in the way of trouble. I’m also going to be focusing more on getting these done relatively quickly instead of stressing over every last goddamn line like I usually do.

Anyways! Since I dunno if I’m gonna get much time to draw later today, I figured I’d get day 1 done ASAP. Here’s a Grovyle! Like, 99% of the reason I like this guy is PMD2, admittedly. I know I got his tail… leaves (?) wrong, but eh. I think he looks better with the 3 tail leaves instead of just 2, actually. :P
