Thought I'd share this, just 'cuz it's so cute. :) I have text for it, already, but this is the digital art I did for the invitation-cards themselves. Kani had suggested we get them professionally printed, as the colours would be difficult to do on a regular printer. I also like the idea of getting gold foil printing for the text, too, just 'cuz it would look awesome. :D
I painted the two of us without the wings we normally have mostly to keep the image simple and uncluttered, but if Kani wants, I'm willing to fiddle until we have our proper wings again.
I may still fade this a touch more- the colour seems a tad strong.

Mostly family, a few of the dragon-folk Kani and I have gotten to know and be close with, and there's going to be a dragon-specific ceremony as part of the day, too. I'm hoping folks with fursuits will be willing to come, actually, as we're planning on doing the dragon portion of the ceremony in suit.
Was tempted to try an image similar to this, but with us holding paws with a loose ribbon tied around them... Didn't think of it until I'd already done this one, though. The background is going to a paler tone in blue, and I've added a few bits of detailing to the dragons to bring up their features a little, but this is pretty much done.
*chuckles* Yeah. Whne thirty came and went, then thirty-five, then thirty-eight... Was beginning to think I was gonna be the lonely cat-lady with the weird stories and even odder habits. O___o Was kinda looking forward to it, in a pastel, dreamy sort of way. Heh.
Think:
"Old chick,
with a big stick,
and white hair to her butt,
walkin' and talkin' that old lady strut..."
*giggles* That was gonna be me, in thirty years, or so.

*giggles* This---> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2238601 Heh. The output changes- maybe it's moon-phases, or something, that does it. *grins*
Oh, I know I'm weird- must be something in Winnipeg's water. I swear, the people there have got to be the most mopey, bitter, sour-minded bunch with all the effervescence and zip of flat soda. They tend to be bitchy, whiny, hopeless schleps who just do not have the imagination to see their way out of their troubles, and then go so far as to rain on anyone else's parade when they try to suggest a solution- very much of the "it can't be fixed" sort. But, they'll cheer on anyone who escapes the stagnation of the 'Peg and then live vicariously through them, much like most of us do with television. Sad, but there ya go. Actually, I'm gonna miss a lot of stuff about my hometown, it definitely has it's pretty places, interesting people, awesome restauraunts and really cool architecture, but I'm also glad I've escaped the place at looooong last. Also, I can make a better living online and in LA- artists can and do starve in Winnipeg.
*giggles* You know how ironic that statement sounds, right? "I hate negative people!" But yeah, I know what you mean.
There's quite a bit to do in Winnipeg, too, and it's certainly fun for a lot of folks there, as most of them claim to like these things, but it's all stuff I have little or no interest in: sports, going to drinking-parties, hoity-toity concerts and art-functions, country-music concerts, volunteering at the local church bake-sales, etc... Blah. Most of the stuff the average person in Winnipeg seems to like is utterly mind-numbingto me, and it offends me even more when these same people claim to be open-minded, yet poo-poo or actively sneer at my interest in comic-art, costuming, writing, SF&F and so on. Though, I gotta admit, when they discover the creative stuff they just go "oooh, that's neat!", but then go on to say in the same breath that while they admire my "talents", "you need to get a REAL job! You'll never make a living on your hobbies..." Maybe not in a butt-suck place like Winnipeg, where our expanding waistlines are proof that our main activity other than drinking beer while watching sports-events at the local sports-bars rather than in person at the arena (which is expensive- 'Peggers are notoriouslycheap as they are boring) is eating at our zillion restaurants. There's a strong core of SF&F fans, though, and that helps to off-set the Joneses and Cleavers.
But, slagging my hometown aside, Manitoba is the unfortunate province to have the highest incidence of depression-related illnesses in Canada. So I'm not entirely kidding when I joke about "there's something in the water". It can actually be really beautiful, if you can get away from the sad-sacks who populate the place.

*gives you a raspberry, spraying spit everywhere* Heh. I write- it's endemic to authors. We can't stop. It's like an addiction. I also read in much the same way an alcoholic ingests booze: constantly and desperately. If there isn't a book around, I'll read the intstructions on tampons...
Aww, thank you! Kani and I have been seeing each other (mostly online, but with good long visits in between) for just over two years, now (seems shorter, buttime flies) and a large portion of that was spent in waiting for forms to be processed, my visa to be accepted and for me to pack my stuff for the move. The drive was pretty interesting, too- we did it overland, as it was cheaper than shipping my geat. We still had to ship my books and a lot of my fabrics so we could fit the rest of my stuff into a 4' X 8' U-Haul and the back of Kani's Prius... Add in house-plants and one very upset kitty and the trip was an adventure, expecially on mountain roads, or the wind-swept plains of Kansas and Nebraska. Wow, Land of Oz, here we come- those winds were brutal.
You know if I could I'd be there in a heartbeat. Besides not having the bux to get there and back I don't even have a passport yet Besides now that we've reconnected you'll be hearing a lot from me *scritch, scritch, scritch* BTW have you had a chance to look at that writing sample yet? Just curious what you think.
Nope, not yet, but this time, I'm not gonna pull a boner and delete the email, like my idiot brain did last time. Been busy drafting the pattern for our wedding outfits and then today, I was painting a badge for Kani. We're going to Califur! *grins and scritches back behind your ears* I remember we used to do that a lot- scritching. *sighs* Good times... Definitely gonna read it when I have a free moment.
Nope. The Mormon Church (the "official" one) doesn't sanction polygamy. Even if they did, one of you two males would have be a girl- they only went for multiple wives, not husbands. By their view, what woman would want more than one man, unless she's a whore? And I'd have to convert to thier religion, which I have so many sensible reasons for not doing..
