Backstory:
One day, a digital dragon wandered into the abandoned Aperture Facilities and on it's travels in this facility, it came across a server room and once stepping foot inside, millions of tendrils shot out of the walls, floor, ceiling, and servers, attaching to the dragon; It tried to break free but simply couldn't and it slowly reverted back to a shell, and once at this stage, the tendrils sent an electrical pulse, wiping the dragon's memory and data, making it a blank slate, perfect for the server's virus to inhabit.
The tendrils withdrew and attached it to a conveyor belt, bringing it into a cannon, but before the cannon would shoot it out, the virus uploaded the rest of itself into egg and the cannon shot it out to later having it land in a power plant. It sat there... slowly developing... building the body back up and using siphoned data from the old aperture servers to add a portal gun to it's tail.
A few days past and a security guard came by and saw the egg, so he went over to it and picked it up, examining it, he quickly came to the conclusion that this was one of those Digital Dragon eggs.
The former scientist-turned security guard, took it home and put the egg inside an incubator. Years would pass and the egg would hatch, as it seemed as though the virus accidentally lengthened it's growth time, making it's aging become much slower.
Felicity did grow a bond to this human and later left to go do other things... she hacked a game company and made every character pink.
