Whew that took awhile! Hands hurting, eyes watering, but we’re done!After spending some time painting the background (it was originally supposed to be a pseudo-underwater-canyon scene, I felt that it’d read very poorly (as in, why is he…there?) so I switched it out with a more… sunken-wreck kind of look.
First time painting rust! Well, officially anyway, quite happy with how it turned out though I should’ve given it more texture. And then there’s teh bubbles. Very rarely get the chance to paint actual bubbles and I couldnt pass it up. I had to remove like.. 10 more because I got carried away, made the picture look like it took place in a pot of boiling water.Overall, made a few new brushes to increase my workflow, noted a few mistakes here and there and learned to work through it. A success overall! Yay!Thank you so much for your patronage! < 3
