Adopted! [Art by Ageaus]
This was a picture
Ageaus drew for me as part of a trade! The theme was dragon TF! =D
"While strolling in the woods, during a day that was apparently not like any other, I left the usual path to venture deeper into the dense vegetation. When I found the cave and heard noises made by little creatures, I probably didn't expect to stumble on freshly hatched dragons. Their high pitched squeaks were calls for attention, and obviously the vulnerable babies were looking for parents who seemed to be missing.
This part of the forest was said to be inhabited by magical spirits according to the locals. Perhaps they took the hatchlings in pity, and granted their wish. But they certainly were not going to have a weak human for a father. Oh no, they wanted one of their own. Spirits always enjoyed making fun of humans trespassing into their lands anyway. So instead of just running away from the little winged lizards, I was chosen to be the new dragon-dad. The question of where the birth parents went off seemed irrelevant.
First came the scales. They were of the same colours as the hatchlings who were crawling out of their eggs. Then the claws, and the sharp teeth. I started feeling the cave's floor as the tip of my toes went through my ripped shoes and socks, my feet turning into paws and taking a draconic shape. The tail followed quickly, my hips shifting more and more to suit a quadrupedal stance everytime my new caudal appendage grew longer.
By the time I realized what was really happening to me, I was much larger, and my wings had started to grow in, piercing through the fabric of my shirt, exposing my back to the forest's cold and humid air. At this moment, I started seeing a little more of my nose than before, and the markings of my new scales became apparent. Then came the horns and the elongation of my proportions, followed by a very embarrassing attempt to keep standing up on my legs, until I fell on all fours, locking myself as a fully functional dragon, for the greater pleasure of the hatchlings who were chirping with excitation. It seemed like they were thinking I would do just fine.
And as I was trying to understand how I was supposed to walk and use this new body of mine, shaking and trembling at the realization of my situation, my mind flooded by conflicting feelings and thoughts about what was going to happen next, I understood I did not really have another choice than having to figure out draconic parenting by myself.
And 'my' hatchlings were hungry."
