Rumors of a hidden dungeon deep underground and a grand treasure led Sasha to a ghost town far off the main roads. Once there, Sasha easily found a way into the sewer system but if the stories were true she would have to find a way even deeper underground. Although she was alone, it felt as if she was being watched by something lurking in the darkness. Sasha kept a firm grip on her torch in one hand and her weapon in the other as she moved through the narrow hallways of the sewers.
Her search continued. As the time passed, all the corridors began to look the same. Sasha wondered if she was going in circles. Splash! Someone else was definitely down here with her. Sasha froze, staring into the darkness from where the sound came from. "Alright! Who the fuck is there?! Better fucking answer quick! You do NOT want me to have to find you." Sasha shouted, her words echoing in the dark forgotten hallways. No reply... only silents. Sasha continued towards the source of the sound.
The tight hall opened into a large chamber. The walls were no longer smooth brick but now rough stone like a cave. A pool of foul smelling standing water filled a large divot in the floor off to one side of the chamber. The water still rippling from whatever splashed through it moments ago. As Sasha took a closer look she could see a set of wet footprints that came from the pool and led across the room before stopping at a wall. Whoever was here is gone now, but where? "A fake wall!" Sasha said moving close to the stone wall. A strange blue light was shining through some of the cracks in the rocks. "Now how to open it?..."
Sasha looked all around for a switch, lever, or button. Anything to open the wall but found nothing. "Fuck it! I'll just make my own door." Sasha took a step back and dropped the torch. Holding the chain of her meteor hammer in both hands, she chanted arcane words as blue sparks of energy began to envelop her weapon. She began to swing the ball and chain over her head until it reached maximum velocity. With a mighty final swing the hammer struck the stone wall and crushed it into rubble!
Behind the wall was a stone staircase leading down. From the ceiling hung a strange blue stone that gave off light like a chandelier. "This must be the place." Sasha thought. "I still have a pretty good charge on my weapon. If the thing from the pond tries to jump me, his ass is in for a fucking shock." Sasha descended the stairs and entered through a stone archway into a wide hallway that seemed to extend for miles! Marble pillars stood on either side of the hall seemingly holding the ceiling up as more blue chandeliers lite the way. It wasn't long before Sasha noticed the only other living thing in the room. A large snail!
The creature turned slowly and looked a Sasha then changed direction and started moving away. That's when Sasha saw that this was no ordinary giant snail. Instead of a shell this snail wore a huge treasure chest! The lock of the chest was broken and the lid hung open just enough for Sasha to see the chest was overflowing with gold, pearls, and precious stones! "W-wait! Come back!" Distracted, Sasha ran towards the fleeing creature only to find that running started to become increasingly difficult. She could barely lift her feet off the ground. "Uff, Awww What the hell?" Sasha looked down only to see her boots were covered in a thick slime left behind by the snail. It was almost like fast hardening glue. Sasha came to a stop, stuck in place for the moment. Just then Sasha heard something behind her. Something like long claws scratching the walls. Soon she could smell the same nasty pond water smell. "Ah~ Another adventurer?" A raspy voice said in a mocking tone. "Good. I haven't eaten for a week."
Sasha tried to free her boots again but they were stuck tight. "Shit! This is not good." Sasha got into a battle pose. Her eyes scanning the room for any movement. "Show yourself coward!"
