On Sundays in Ellaville, Br'er Fox enjoyed playing his banjo by the tranquil waters of the fabled Suwannee River.
As the sun begins to set, he takes a moment to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
As you look at this photo keep in mind that what you see is completely unchanged for CENTURIES.
During this photoshoot it was hot and we were losing light, so we were in a hurry to get it all done. I could not fully appreciate the scope of the setting until after looking at the photos.
I am Br'er fox, I have a banjo, and I am on the banks of The Suwannee River near a ghost town.
You don't get much more DEEP SOUTH than that.
It's 1875 all over again.
