Sound Theme
Fa Lihua had chosen to wait in the meadows early that evening
because she was waiting for someone particular, a friend of hers
asked her out for a 'date'. It was a matter of between them, she
wouldn't deny her friend's request. Afterall, it was only a friendship
date and nothing more...of course. It didn't help that he was one
of the only canterwits she was interested in. Sure there were other
male canterwits that could rival each other's handsome outsets, but
she felt close with Jingle. Maybe it's because they're from the same
house or because she's attracted to his wide arrange of vocals and
musical pieces, but she couldn't be sure. He hadn't mastered music
as a whole, but he was able to make the sweetest tunes with his
magic.
However, there was one thing she hadn't overlooked; Jingle
had the tendency to flirt at her. Flirting in public houses is quite frown
upon, except maybe for Peitho, who doesn't mind other Canterwits flirting.
Both female and male canterwits are quite fond of Peitho which is why he
doesn't mind getting the attention. He's actually quite used to it, seeing as
how he's often mistaken for a female at times.
"Ah, there she is. Sorry for having you wait for me." Jingle interrupted her
train of thought.
Fa Lihua shook her head. "Jingle, Jingle, it's fine. I'm not that in a hurry."
"Daydreaming as usual?"
"No, was thinking."
"About what?"
The canterwit flustered, "Nothing in particular."
Jingle chuckled, "Hey it's fine. You can tell me, but I won't pressure you,
is it someone you like?"
"I am definitely not going to answer that." Fa Lihua quickly stated.
"I'll respect that then." Jingle one of his instruments too. A small keyboard,
but knowing with his technique he's able to produce a very nice melody.
"I brought my instrument. You don't mind listening to this piece dear
little Fable?"
Fable, a nickname Jingle has given to her. She remembered when they
first met, Jingle had a hard time pronouncing her asian name. So to make
things easier he given her a nickname Fable. Some of her canterwits friends
called her Fable too. The name pretty much stuck with other canterwits calling
her that. It also made her less of a stranger and alienated from other canterwits.
"Definitely, I don't mind listening to them!"
"Sit next to me then."
She did, Jingle then played the little piano. The music he played was whimsical,
yet very gorgeously produced. He occasionally can tap a few occasional keys with
his hooves yet none of the notes he played were mistakes. By the time he was
finished she was sleeping. Jingle had to gently tapped her sides with his antler.
"Wake up."
"Huh, oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to be rudely sleeping between your songs."
Fa Lihua apologized.
"No, it's fine. I think it is rather comforting Fable, I can't get mad at
you for sleeping. It is rather a long song." smiled Jingle.
Fa Lihua complimented "I think it sounded beautiful."
"Just like you." he added.
"Thank you, and your handsome." she replied.
They both got up from their spot; Jingle put away his instrument and they
continued to talk until the evening is over. Fa Lihua would've love to confess
her feelings to him...but there's always another time to tell him.
