The brief conversation between Mars and Mallow at the book signing quickly became a friendly correspondence.While they didn't see much of each other, Mallow made sure that the chocolate-colored gryphon had plenty of 'fuel' while he settled in to start on his next narrative work. This meant, of course, that every few days, another basket of sweets would arrive alongside a thoughtful note wishing Mars well, and reminding him that a full stomach would benefit both mind and body! Mars didn't need the notes to remind him, of course, but it was a nice gesture; his appetite had been increasing lately, and he was rarely without a full belly that was slowly attempting to escape the confines of his shirts. Admittedly, the extra padding came as inspiration, and allowed him to more thoughtfully describe sensations and ideas that the heavier characters in his story experienced. Close to finishing his newest novel, another basket and note arrived, and this time, it was an invitation...
