Just a couple of coloured sketches done by the fantastic a long while ago that I never posted. They're alien species I (sort of) created for a space-based RP with a friend of mine.

The first picture is Doctor Niran, a male Nagal. The Nagal is a highly intelligent species, orginally created by combining human DNA with that of snakes. They are a race of scientists and doctors that populate quickly and actually encourage homosexuality amongst the masses. They are a matriarchal society, led by a chosen queen and her harem. Many Nagal leave their home planet to work as scientists and doctors all over the known galaxy. Niran is one of many; he is Chief Medical Officer on Space Port Zeta and a love interest to many on it.

The other two pictures are of Visan, a male Chatzir. Chatzir are capable of either bipedal or quadrupedal movement and have impeccable night vision, though very poor day vision. Their pure white eyes are highly photosensitive. Their bodies are covered in dense scales that they can raise into spikes when angered or aggitated. They are also capable of colour shifting, usually brought on by their mood. The scars on Visan's stomach were caused by a pulse rifle while he was in a fire fight. Chatzir tend to be fearful of technology and live in primal tribes on their home planet. Believed to be unintelligent, they are actually sentient beings. Despite this, they are highly prized as slaves for protection and bloodsport. Visan left his planet and was captured by traders; before he could be sold off, he was taken into protection and eventually became an integral part of the special forces on the space port he'd ended up on. He's also mated to a male cirion soldier.

Yes, I know Niran is essentially just a naga. Also, the Chatzir is strongly based off of the hellhounds or whatever they're called from the Riddick movie.
