041209 - Walking to the beach
Sofia sashays down the walkway in a bikini, and Maikeru (totally not dressed for a trip to the beach) tries to carry a case full of chilled drinks, pretty much failing miserably (his arms have all the tensile strength of a wet noodle).
there's the very vague beginnings of a beachy background with shore and ocean extending out with the boardwalk and palms, but it's not even visible.
This took up the entire page. I draw things pretty large but I usually end up with ample white space anyway. This... won't have that, if I complete it. It's going to be a real endeavor because I frankly hate drawing backgrounds and suck at them completely.

Well, if you can do decent enough inking (you can), the option of digital colouring is always open. It's usually fairly simple—there are some great tutorials out there, and also a lot of people willing to play colourist either just for the practise or because they really like the artist. It may require more effort to come up with intricate shading schemes, but it certainly makes up for it in terms of cost.
