So, as you can probably tell, I have been doing a lot of leather working lately. Along with my store-bought and then modified (read re-shaped the point) scratch awl, I have ended up creating a bunch of other leather awls...including a couple out of rather strange materials (namely sharpened paperclip wire). These are primarily used to re-poke holes for stitching. I have been using broken then sharpened felting needles as leather working tools, now I have started putting handles on them to make them a bit easier to handle. A couple of broken sewing needles were also turned into punches. Many of them have either rings or ribbon attached to allow me to carry them around easier when working while walking.
