First off, if it's their character, then fuck, more power to them if they want to draw them that way. Draw them with super mini ears and muzzles wide as the Sahara if you want.
Perhaps it's a cross? You don't know. Maybe they're just starting out and don't really have a grasp on fennec anatomy yet. Don't be a bitch.

Hell I drew up my fennec as more of a normal fox. Why? Cause I wanted to draw her that way and I might continue to draw her that way. Does it mean I'm wrong in drawing her that way. Hell no.
