Trust me, I don't get it, either, and do my best to keep the innocence of the show's world separate from my pervy thoughts whenever I watch it, which has been mostly successful. (I don't think I can ever look at the Power Ponies episode the same way again, though. >_<)

That being said, I don't know, as for just watching the show, my real-life friends were into it, so I got into it, too. Stayed because the characters, dialogue, and world, while not the greatest ever written--shocker, right?--are still decently relatable and pleasant, with a tone optimistic enough to give me hope in this screwed-up world of ours. However, the show's target audience (and the reputation of the bronies themselves) make sure I'm almost never open about liking it, even on sites like these.
