Hey, this is a furry web site. So why aren't there more impalas around? I'm doing my best to boost the ratio with this 1958 Chevrolet Impala. What's not to like about a little impala tail?
I've made a hobby of photographing cars close up. I love the distorted reflections in the chrome of great old cars. At car shows, I'm the guy sitting on the ground with my camera, getting the right angle on a bumper, grille, or hub cap.

lol I will be too with the 1966 Chevy Impala four door hard top I'm working on! I've already got some pictures uploaded! And I really love this configuration on the Impalas; the three lights just look awesome! Nothing quite screams "I'm sailing down the road in a space ship" like classic cars with tail fins or bullet lights!
I heartily agree. When I was a kid, one of my uncles had an Impala of that vintage. I thought it was absolutely the coolest looking car. Now, over 40 years later, the late 50s/early 60s Impalas still flutter my putter.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I just had a look at your photos of Cassandra. Good luck with your restoration.

Oh bless your heart you even used her name! lol thank you for indulging me. lol and "Flutter my putter" I like that, that's clever! I agree with you too! Nothing quite stimulates the imagination quite like old cars. I remember when I was young and my father was trying to restore a 1936 Plymouth Business coup (I might not have the exact year right; it was 30 something) and I'd spend as much time as I could out and around it!
If you'd like I can send you a video I shot of Cassandra as well!

That's the beauty of life, picking up things from the people around you! And sure man I don't mind at all!

in 1966 i was 18, that was the year i graduated high school.
nothing seems so long ago when it was in your own life.
then you get to be, where what was common place to you,
is something almost everyone you meet has only heard of in history books.
well i'm not a car person particularly, but there were some good things about those years for me.
mostly because i grew up in small towns along the railroad, and could walk out into the woods.
