Back in 2004, Florida was hit by 4 hurricanes. Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. Of the 4 hurricanes, 3 of them (Charley, Frances, Jeanne) came RIGHT through my area, eye and all.
The First hurricane, Charley, came barreling through Punta Gorda on Friday, August 13th. It was small, it was fast, and it was deadly at Category 4. It was so small and so fast, that by the time it got to my part of the state (I live dead center in the middle of the state), it was STILL a high category 3. (No, I don't live in Punta Gorda, that's where the hurricane first hit)
The damage it did on my town was amazing. Streets became mazes, light poles snapped in half.
Wanting to document the event, I took pictures around town of the damage.
My friend Gryph, who was up in Tennessee at the time, saw the pitures I posted online and decided to do something so...AWESOME...she started the Sonic Clean Up Crew series. Basicly she did a hellova good job editing pictures to make it look like Sonic and friends were helping to cleanup the mess the hurricanes left.
DA, being the nazis that they were, deleted the pics.
Well recently I found the pics again, and I asked Gryph if I could post them here, and she said YES.
So for the first pic we got...a broken light pole. BTW that's my mom walking.

Aww, that's incredibly sweet of your friend...
My street looked like this after Ike. ._.; I actually felt it was a little creepy, you couldn't even -see- some streets for all for the branches down. It doesn't take much for humanity to start losing ground to nature, does it...
