Let me guess, this is a modern take on Mowgli, and his adopted pack understands the importance of keeping up with the times, he's no different with his pants, boots, pistol and kukri.
The kukri is a nice touch in itself, seeing that the original story takes place in India, which is just south of Nepal, where the Gurkhas come from.
