I have no idea what these guys were up to, but they appeared to be sucking face for a good 5 minutes. To be so cheap and underappreciated as nothing more than feeders... crickets sure are entertaining.

see this mystifies me as to why they give the option when buying these at the pet store, "do you want egg crate/paper towel in the bag?"
crickets are bottomless pits that readily eat anything, including each other and even the plastic of their fish bag
i can't see a reason someone wouldn't want that paper buffer, its never made sense to me, but i see it all the time
sure, buy 3 dozen feeder crix and by the time they get home, they're down to 2 dozen
because they're freaked out into a cannibalistic frenzy from having no cover
since when is that an acceptable method for pet owners to gut load, just buy 1/3 more than they actually need and wait it out
