I've been doing a lot of gothic stuff lately. Here's an eight point whitetail buck painted in crisp white with a tribal style raven hand-painted on his noggin, blacked-out eye sockets, silver-leafed antlers with an antiquing stain, dripping 'tears' trailing from the eyes in sterling silver leaf and hanging traces of red and black deer leather with a few black dyed goose pointer feathers laced into the traces behind the skull. Raven and crow feathers are illegal to pick up in my state so I had to make do with the black goose feathers. They're an excellent match so it's all good.

Oh, and when you turn off the lights the word NEVERMORE appears across the skull in glowing green...

This piece was sold before it was finished. I posted a work-in-progress photo on my facebook page and one of my regular buyers went all seagull on it - "MINE!" (For a shot at reserving WIPS and a closer look at what I do you should definitely follow my FB. Link below.)
