And I think Star has the right idea here...its okay to be nervous and shy....but you cant let that impede your ability to play or interact with folk at something as rare as an ageplay gathering of this ilk. try to make the most out of every situation you're in.

When I moved to Colorado a few years ago, I didn't know anyone out here. But I knew part of the reason I moved was to change things, I didn't have almost any friends in New Hampshire where I moved from. The first furry event I went to, a restaurant meet up I found online, I was so scared. I circled the building twice looking in, trying to figure out who was with the group, what I would even do. I almost left. I got in my car and sat there for a bit. But I decided I really wanted to do it. And now I have the best friends I've ever had in my life. The nervousness can go away as you become familiar with the situations, and you grow. And it's ok to grow and still be little :P It's also ok to decide you don't like something. Or that you do like staying home. But bravery is facing fears, not not having them, fears shouldn't stand in the way of happiness forever.
I think this is great, Star. I love the look of wonder in her eyes, the nervousness, the feeling of insecurity. Then, that brief flash of 'Oh Wow, this is great, people want to PLAY with me' in panel 3. I was concerned though that the implied threat of what Bob might do might have brought repercussions, but I guess that's only because we all KNOW what Bob is capable of. Also, Teca has warned Star about it before, but Star doesn't tend to be 'in the moment' sometimes, and forgets the warnings.

I guess the first thing to say here is your arts improvements over the last year really show here with a smoothness that just leaps off of the screen transporting you into that party. That's how powerful drawing can be as a tool of communication so A*+*
Now to what's going in this page, it really gets to the thing regardless of label(s) we use we've all encountered and yes some of that struggle with insecurity, the confidence to 'reach out' and share something of you and the times we're so in a situation that we furget there's other things to complete like getting know our way around a building and other people we may require.
The play scene is pretty well observed from the nervous Star hiding behind Bob to the others who by bringing Bob in bring Star into a situation where she starts to feel okay with playing with them. Star no doubt remembers the first time we met together and, gosh wasn't I feline nervous on the inside, having to work with nerves to get through a day and a half under one roof together and has seen my confidence improve since. That's how these things go if you give them the chance and people do really care for you on that most special of days.

There are days where I honestly feel he same way.... I keep thinking today is a really super duper über wicked awesome dream that I'm going to wake up from...... Then I go to sleep and wake up and realize it never was.... Because everything's the same as it was when I went to sleep....

I just finished reading through Shine twice in the span of like, a week. Super happy I found it. I just wanna say that this comic has really helped me become more comfortable with my little side, as well as helping me be a better mommy for my own baby. x3 I can't wait for the next page to come out.

Can i just say, this is probably the best comic i have ever seen, honestly, this just puts a smile on my face everytime i read this comic, your icon is perfect, the artstyle is original, and everything about this is so well thought out i almost thought it was a movie! you just earned yourself a watcher!

Im personaly not into ageplay at all, never hat the experience with that kind of stuff. Kinda out of random or luck i picked up a random page of your Story and hours later 162 pages went down in a marathon xD
your art style is quit eyecatching i realy like the way the eyes and the facial expressions match eatch other. hope you keep up the good work.
