With folded eyes, what thoughts so deep
does the little red dragon keep?
All I know is that, up there,
he flies around without a care.
Does the dragon have piles of gold
where stalactites drip in caves so old?
Perhaps a damsel in distress
with tattered cloth in scanty dress?
I may not know, but what a sight:
against the sky, a vermillion delight.
I'm glad to see him swoop with ease
amid clouds formed by the autumn breeze.
