85% completed finally with the bookbag ;w;
The only thing we still need to add is the lining that has the interfacing that makes the bigger pocket stand out.
I'm so excited to see how everything comes together on Monday. ^^ I'm hopeful it'll be at least close enough to being done besides minor hand work.
But so far this has been such a fun project and really have appreciated my teachers help with some of the sewing. ;w; -tbh this is a very tricky project and at times I'm just not able to see it correctly without making a mess out of the fabric and time. Also I'm a visual learner and really at times need to see how to sew it before could learn it on my own-
This is NOT something that can be done on a domestic machine. ;w; not even at times an industrial machine could sew some of this. We've had to use 2 machines to sew everything so far. -actually 3 for myself because some of it was done at home that CAN be done on a domestic-...
But I'm really excited to see how it all turns out. ^^

*Whispers* Is that Yaya Han fabric on those straps? I'm envious, textiles classes,... is this part of your public schooling or a private course offered somewhere? (If it's like, a highschool class I'm super jealous. My highschool didn't have fun classes.)

This is a technical college that offers sewing as a degree. Which the class has quite a few different specialties you can choose to be in.
And yes it's the yaya Han fabric :). -they had some of it in the reminants at our local joanns fabrics about a couple months ago and was able to finally find the right project for use- :)
The course is offered only in one part of FL which is downtown Orlando.
There's two teachers that helps you through the course. And it's very fast pace at times so just forwarning.
And it's definitely worth every penny:), and since it's a technical college, per semester isn't as expensive as other colleges around FL.
