Another Mandala I drew ("mandala" is Sanskrit for "circle"). I was listening to a CD called "Quiet Moods" that combines both the sounds of nature (i.e. birds chirping and trickling water) and 'new age' type of music. One of the tracks on the CD made me think of a warm beach scene with an open sky and various cloud patterns, kind of like if you went on vacation in the Caribbeans, and this picture was the result.

This mandala didn't turn out like I hoped it would. I wanted to be sure that everything in the picture was in balance, including the palm tree, the sailboat, the birds and the footprints in the sand. Yes, I am aware of the palm tree being a bit too thick and that the sailboat is not exactly in perspective, but I can't seem to really fix that when you have oil pastels to draw with.
