With a skip in his step and a glint in his eye, the Dingus Dinosaur happily hums his way across the land. What makes this oh, so lovable and eternally youthful creature always seem so happy? Well, if your mission in life was to help all the sad and deprived children of the world feel happy and hopeful, then I'd imagine you'd be pretty happy, too.
Unlike his brothers, the Dingus Dinosaur exclusively seeks out children. His particular interest is to find those with glum faces and turn their frowns upside down. If a child is feeling neglected, rejected, or inferior, he will take the time to play with them until they feel better, or he finds someone who is capable of better caring for the youth.
There is something else, too...
The Dingus Dinosaur wouldn't be part of the Dingus family without having a power of judgment and/or reform. He is certainly no exception either as, just as he works to help children, he also actively seeks out little ones who are in need of an attitude adjustment.
For example, it has been said that the Dingus Dinosaur loathes little ones who refuse to share and/or are poor sports. Kids who have witnessed the Dingus Dinosaur in action have recounted tales of how, in situations like this, the normally happy creature begins to lightly growl before taking hold of the naughty one and dragging him to a secluded area. Once here, according to those children he has reformed, the Dingus Dinosaur pulls a playing card of sorts out from behind his scales and magically pulls the child into it. Those who are inside of the card are then trapped within an alternate world that is filled with Dingus Dinosaurs who continually loop the bad behavior the child exhibited onto others until they realize the error of their ways. After which, they are released from the card and allowed to go home and do good.
So, to all you little ones out there, know that you are never alone and that, despite how lousy things may seem, there is someone out there looking out for you. Should you ever hear happy humming along with the sound of flip-flopping feet, you can be assured the Dingus Dinosaur is not too far off and eager to make your day!

Thanks, Scooter. I'm very happy that you have enjoyed learning about this trio of helpful, yet mysterious, creatures.
As for his cause, I could not agree with you more. The poor Dingus Dinosaur is perhaps the busiest of the lot. Though, despite being a single-force, he always moves with a spring in his step in the hopes of bringing peace, happiness, and confidence to the youth of the world. He knows happy kids who are encouraged and given proper attention grow up to not need judged by his brothers. :)

Yay, another Dingus! But awww, I'm probably never gonna meet this one, cause I'm always so happy. *pouts* Hey, wait! That makes me sad! Maybe the Dingus Dinosaur will come to cheer me up! *happy chirp* Aww no, now I'm happy again....
This could go on for quite some time...

You never know, my friend. He, like the others, is ever wandering the world in search of those who need his help.
Because he is ALWAYS happy, he is super easy to spot and say hello to, too! Just keep your ears open for the sound of merry humming coupled with flip-flopping, pitter-patter. The sounding of both is a sure sign the Dingus Dinosaur is somewhere close by.

He honestly couldn't ask for a better job. Although an ideal world would be one where his gifts weren't neccessary, he is quite elated to know he, in his own way, can make a difference in a young one's life. One might say he measures his success in smiles. :)
There's also the added bonus of knowing that, with each child he touches, there is a good chance that the happy kid will pass on their happiness to other children who need some sunshine in their loves. Positivity and enthusiasm is an infectious, yet lovable, thing. Yep, yep, yep!

Yep, yep, yep! By natural defination, a dingus is a "Mysterious or Unknown Device." However, in slang, it's, well, you know. :)
Ditto goes for my natural title. Ducky is not only a parsaurolophus from The Land Before Time, but also a term typically used to sarcastically say one is feeling, "Delightful." I prefer to take the sarcasm out and just be ducky to be Ducky. :)

Hehe, these guys sound nice or neat at first, but then when you read their judgmental side it sounds scary. 8D I guess it's odd for me to think of something to have such nice qualities, but also have such a dark side to it too - even though that exists there for what they believe to be a good cause.
Then again, I don't think that's really much different from how humans are either, haha. :D

Nope, nope, nope! And, once more, you really hit the nail-on-the-head when you mentioned the "human" element behind these delightful critters.
Going back on good ol' Pinnochio, I wanted to create stories of creatures that a parent, or traveler, might tell in passing. You know, those moral tales that are fun to hear, but give you the creeps to act poorly in fear of being caught in the act by the judging entity. :)
On a funny note, I got my wife to read these while we were away and she actually wondered what would happen if I told my son, as he got older, about the Dingus? Making a long story short, there is belief that he would share the stories with his class-mates and, in the end, I'd be getting a phone call from either the teacher or principal. <LoL!>
In short, based on that, I do plan on telling him. ;)
