I found this at a cabaret in Dallas and I knew I had to have it.

Yeah, I'll bet those places are filthy to the max, and the money left behind at the end of the night is just hazard pay for one of the dirtiest jobs on Earth. Still, I can't pass up a good Furry design whenever I see it, which is how I became Crafty Coyote in the first place.
https://misterscribbles.blogspot.co...../12/moose.html My brothers take on the same. And yes, the strip club industry is depressing. Where do you live?
I had a house in Oak Cliff. I used to live, for three years, at 8th and I streets in D. C, Southeast. Put up your pic on your site and write "copyrighted" underneath it. (Name, date, all mine, etc...) That will give you a legal leg to stand on. Do it before anyone else and it is all yours. Also, saying that you live in Dallas is like saying that you live in the Equator. I am writing from Rockport and may be moving to Port Aransas. Whatever you do, don't move to Corpus Christie. I mean, dullsville, Baby!
Yeah, I'm thinking of getting him formally copyrighted early next year. Send in $60 to the Patent Office, get a certificate in the mail of legal copyright and then I'm insured against any and all lawsuits in the future, even by the people who created him originally, and then left him for dead. And here it is, the design that launched a hundred commissions.

But this is just a cartoon character! There have been very few copyright battles over this sort of thing, read about Captain Marvel vs. Superman. I do not think you have anything to worry about. Intellectual property stands no matter what if you can prove it is yours. And- it has to hit before anyone will try to steal it. Advantage- you. But hey, do your thing. Artwork aint nothing, it is the writing that sells and nothing else. Good luck.
Thank you, it means a lot to me. Quite frankly, he belongs to the fandom and given how many people I've commissioned to make pictures of him, that might not be far from the truth. My father says there might be an issue but I really do think he belongs to me, because he means so much to me.
