I must say, this is quite an interesting poem! =D
It has a nice format, a ballad style for the most part. ^^
Very nice use of imagery (my FAVE part of poetry and other creative writings)! ;3
I REALLY thought the poem was about prisoners behind bars to be honest, until I came to the ending about the "family of Zarelion." =/
Still, EXCELLENT nonetheless. \(^o^)/
On an ending note, what is the "family of Zarelion"?

The 10 people taking over in the story would be the Zarelion family, and they aren't in a prison, they're inside ice, beneath rock and snow in mountains in the Northern hemisphere.
Six centuries under ice and separated from one another, while still being conscious of passing time, tends to drive one insane.

Hit the button a little soon...
I did, however, line it with some references to make it feel like a prison to them, yes. Older prisons tended to be black or darker colors, and if in some areas, snow is to be expected year round...
The images I painted were meant to make it feel as though they are separated from each other, their past, the current populace if there is any [which there is], and far, far from their home.
