Name: Megan Bryar
Age: 37
Gender: Female
Height: 4'9"
Weight: 115 lbs
Species: Eastern Cottontail/English Spot rabbit hybrid
Biographical Data
Megan is a pretty ordinary girl. Her life history has been largely overshadowed by the adventures of her more famous cousins, though she is largely responsible for chronicling their deeds. She lives in the rabbit-controlled city of Oseille, on the island of Viridis, where she is known as a historian and a story-teller. Her occupation might be described as being closer to that of an ancient skald than a modern academic, and it grants her something of a special status within her society. As books are something of a rarity in Viridis, those who are trained as historians are expected to know the histories of all species and factions on the island, and to be unfailing honest in their accounts of those histories. They are also expected to remain completely neutral in their politics. Thus, they are both respected and regarded as outsiders, which leaves Megan without a great many friends outside of her own family.
Megan lives with her two daughters. The elder, named Deborah, was born in mysterious circumstances that Megan refuses to discuss. It is known, however, that no male was involved. Megan's younger daughter, Kyree, on the other hand, is her child with her boyfriend, Eliki. She is very fond of both of her children, but she is also highly protective of them. This is especially true for Deborah who, at the age of eighteen, is very much like her. Maybe too much.
Personal Statement
Oh gosh, I always feel like I'm in some kind of support meeting when answering these things. Hi, my name is Megan and I'm a story-teller, but I'm taking it one day at a time! Still, I suppose if I'm going to do this, I should do it right. So. I live on the island of Viridis in a small house somewhere in the forest near Oseille. There's a lot of wild forest left on the island, and I like it better than living in the city. That doesn't mean I'm not friendly, though. Like I said, I'm a story-teller. That means I'm part historian and part entertainer and it's up to me and people like me to keep the true histories of Viridis alive. You can't trust such things to kings and queens, because they're going to want to show their side in the best light possible and vilify their enemies. I mean, I guess I'm technically some kind of royalty myself, since it's my family that founded Oseille and my cousin Fiachra rules it today. So I can understand. But the truth is important, too. I have almost five hundred different stories memorized, and plenty more written down on the ancient scrolls and books that have been entrusted to my care, and I never get tired of reading them.
That isn't to say I don't have a sense of humor, mind. Or a sense of drama. Some of these histories can be awfully dry, so sometimes I intersperse my own stories among them to keep my audience interested. I do try to let people know what's fact and what's fiction, though.
Besides that, I'm really a pretty ordinary gal. I have two daughters, Deborah and Kyree, whom I love dearly and I've recently taken my young cousin Jen in as my apprentice. So I don't really have the time for adventures like my cousins do. Anyone is welcome to visit and listen to my stories, if you're interested and don't start trouble. And don't trample my flowers.

I always liked this picture and the way you are stepping through the mirror or what ever it is.
BTW...I find these Iridescence Studio pictures confusing because i don't know who is posting them. Therefor I don't know properly who to reply to. Perhaps if you had an icon featuring both of you it would be less confusing to me, but with only Lauren's picture I tend to think that she is the one doing all the posting. IDK.

I've always loved this picture, too, and I've always kind of wanted to see if I couldn't commission Oli for a bit of an upgrade. More of a fully rendered piece than this one would be pretty neat I think.
I know it's pretty confusing, and I do apologize for that. But, basically, I'm the one who will post any art of my own characters, while Lauren posts only her own. We both might post joint commissions, like the one of Ciara and Lauren that was posted here a little bit ago. But, basically, the person who owns the character in the post is the one to reply to.
I will talk to her about trying to make things easier for people, though.

I've always loved this picture of Megan. I keep forgetting Oli did this one. I guess it's because she doesn't often do backgrounds anymore.
It's a wonderful picture, for sure. :) I love it. :) I kind of like how Megan is wearing fantasy clothes in one and more like the way Ashurians dress on the left, sort of puts her in the two worlds mode which will foreshadow well some things I've been thinking about, such as Deborah's inclusion in the later Iridescence installments. It's definitely one of the best pictures you've gotten. :)
Also, later tonight I'll switch the icon to our new logo now that it's paid for. :)

This has always been one of my favorites. I've always loved the stepping-into-Wonderland feel it has, and the transition of Megan's outfit from the modern day t-shirt and jeans to the more fantasy/medieval outfit. I've always kind of meant to get a picture of her wearing a more complete version of the second outfit as well. I'm really glad that it fits thematically as well. I kind of went back and forth a bit on which picture to use, but this one just seemed to work right.
Thanks for changing to the new icon! It's really cute!
