For all the trouble I went to, strapping on all those holsters, the photos came out crappy. Drat. Oh well, into Scraps it goes.

I always carry a kershaw or 2, a fixed blade or folder,
Guns jam, things happen. Then you'll be glad you have a knife.
While it's better to have your gun in a gun fight,
If for some reason it doesn't work, you drop it, run out of bullets, etc,
I'd rather have a knife than bare hands.

no a martial artist have just spend time and effort to beable to use ablade ina certain way in fight flawlessly and with little to no effort.
i do not know who the ChiP are exactly so i'll take your word for it.
Civilian can practise the use of knives or just learn how to use them. Most just dont bother.
you may not have a 12 gage on hand or have amore for it. and if i did I feel i might just aims for the legs/feet.

lol, some hints for next time:
1. when using a mirror don't use flash.
2. when using a mirror and flash, put the flash somewhere where its not in the picture
3. when using a mirror and flash, at least make sure the mirror is clean
4. when using a mirror for photos mirror the image in your editing software before adding text and posting, or the text ends up mirrored
5. don't you ever hold a rifle like this, you're either gonna accidently kill someone or shoot yourself in the foot, or break your index finger, or all of the above at the same time...
redeeming feature: the glasses look badass!

Have you shot one of those? I got a pull on my buddies Henry in .44 mag, a bit hard to aim accurately (trying to hit 8" steel at 50 yards) but lots of fun and plenty easy to wield one handed. Would be a great close quarter mele weapon.
And not really hard to aim, just awkward trying to look down rifle sights with no shoulder stock.

This baby here?

looks nice!
Nope, I haven't, although I shot .44 magnum with a revolver. You better hold on properly ;)
The largest rifles I fired with life ammunition were 7.62 mm, Heckler & Koch G3 assault rifles and Rheinmetall MG3 machine guns (both fully automatic)
I was referring to the "backhanded+sideways" hold with the index finger stuck through the hole across the trigger. Looks badass but you can't aim, can't hold on and if that thing was ready to fire, it'd be an accident waiting to happen.

Yeah, he's got the full size one too, that one was a pleasure to shoot. The sawed off version is the one I was referring to. https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/mares-leg/
The grip he has is totally usable with that size of rifle, tho admittedly not without risk.

Needz moar gunz!
The Old Tiger told me, "When it hits the fan, better learn to fan your sixgun" (or words to that effect). Long gone now; he was a WWI vet, and knew whereof he spoke. I think the likelihood (or need) of an armed insurrection went down last week, but nobody was ever shot for being prepared.
And for the stabby-stabby contingent, 3-1/4" Kershaw semi-auto spring assist, Buck 2-3/4" folder, and a Victorinox Super Tinker (li'l red toolbox).

I had to coax all my guns out of hiding... They were all terrified of Hillary and hiding all over the place... Poor things were scared, I had to give them treats of factory loaded ammo and let them know the evil anti-gun witch was gone to get them to come out.
