With all respect due the veterans and other fighters who do what they think is right in the hope of a better world, their sacrifice is always a tragedy. No one will be truly free until there is no more war and there are no more soldiers.
Being the creatures we are, I don't know if this will ever happen, but if we can't imagine it and work for it, it never will.
