that's actually a really good idea, might try it for my orks, moving olots of them is a pain

for orks, id go as far as cutting the trays and glueing them so you have one large tray.

could work, or a big sheet of thin metal and magnets in all the bases.

that would be more financially sound for large armies. fortunately, alot of my points go into vehicles

always good and they do help a lot yes. though if ind the trays also make your units very much in the open to max effect from template weapons i had a friend use them for his apoc zombie army and in one volley from 4 space marine missile launchers i killed 24 out of 60 zombies.

true, but you cant argue that it looks good and easier to move. so its worth exposing them to templat weapons in my opinion. but if things get too hairy, i can always take them off the trays and scatter them.

*shi nods* far enough i fyou are willing then it is alright. I know of a friend who used em for his ork army he has like 3 big units of 20 boys each of choppa boys and he just puts them in those trays to help move em. helped alot but he vowed never to use em again after my Land raider Redeemer drove over and smoked a whole unit in one volley <.< i felt really bad when that happened... *pokes fingers*

on the matter of the dex what ya looking for the most? my guess is the valkyire.

id agree, anything bigger than 10 models is just asking to be punished by templates.

valkyries will be interesting, but ill most be interested in the new orders system.

1 troop choice can be 1-3 platoons, 1 platoon is made up of 1-5 units of 10 men. now that means you can get 150 guardsmen for 1 troop choice.

but thats not what scares me.. what scares me is being told i have to kill the full 150 guardsmens of that troop choice of all 3 platoons before i earn 1 kill point in annilation games...

i have been told thats how it is gonna be from 3 games workshop staff... >,< if its true i can see people taking those 3 platoons putting 140 of 150 guys out in the front then hide one unit of 10 away from any of the other units in a back corner or something to prevent people form getting that killpoint.

personally, i wouldnt worry about it. the new codex will spawn a new wave of "agressive" guard armies.

gone are the days of stand and shoot guard armies. LRBT working together with flanking valkries/vendettas may be the new thing to look out for

its not for all armies. anything larger than unit size 10 is really asking to be pummeled by blast and templates.

The new codex is insane you now have vehicles squads of 1-3 vehicles per squad and there is about 7 diffrent lemon russ's to choose from.

it would be rare to see anyone using tank squadrons in 1750 or less point games.
