Get Down is a meme that supposedly originated from a glitch in the N64 game Goldeneye, where the characters (and vehicles) would suddenly “spaz out” at random times in the game. Some Japanese guy posted a video featuring the glitch, while adding an excerpt from the song “Promise” by Hirose Kohmi. Suddenly the “Get Down” dance was born.
The original “Get Down” video, also known in Japan as GEDDAN, was posted on the popular Japanese video sharing site nicovideo.jp in January 24th, 2007.

man, the Havok (general use) engine does this sometimes too. went in this one place in Fallout 3 where every other thing i touched, including some live people, would start to spazz out and be in about 12 different places at once. It was cool when a raider did it, cause he flew up and down the hallway and stairs a few times before exploding XD
