drpickelle who also did another one of my characters references in this level of beautiful detail! ^_^ ohhh i love this so much!! you're an amazing artist Dr. P! i especially love the eyes on the wolf form and the "no, wait! not now!!" -expression on her human face!
Artist's post HERE ^w^
Patrol Officer Maria Norton, age 23, 5'7" tall, Hispanic nationality. A rookie policewoman on her first patrol, she suddenly found herself chasing down her first perp, an amateur drug runner, through the cluttered buildings of an abandoned industrial park. for some reason she had no radio or cell phone signal there, but decided to press on, determined to prove herself and net her first baddie by herself if need-be.
unfortunately, one of those "abandoned" buildings, well... wasnt! she and the criminal unknowingly stumbled into an illegal genetics lab, luckily empty of mad scientists at that time, but still they left some volatile stuff around...
Maria wound up getting exposed to an experimental Lycanthropic aerosol gas when a compressed canister broke loose and burst on the ground during the chase, a formula made by whomever ran that place for the purpose of causing a Mass-TF outbreak, as it was later discovered when lab techs went through the lab's contents... but the formula in that lab was not complete, and had a few interesting... flaws...
Maria succumbed to the change quickly, bursting in size, strength, beauty and instinct. now 7'6" tall and strong enough to throw a small car. her condition was instantly permanent but at least she eventually both caught the guy AND exposed the illegal Laboratory (though the person who operated it was never identified or found). BUT NOW, she has to deal with completely uncontrollable TF's at times, annoying chase and hunt instincts, and a LARGE size difference between her tall, beautiful, powerful wolf form, and her smaller, cute, average human form when she changes. so basically, she goes through a ton of uniforms. also, she will change under ANY moonlight conditions, not just a full moon. and then, theres the issue of her heat...
the wild hormones and power of her form can bring her undeniable good feelings, but it can quickly and unexpectedly bring her into a heat-like state, where her wolf instincts overpower her sense of duty and decency and force her to associate some people as "prey"... and eventually when it gets too advanced, "prey" becomes associated with "mate"... much to the distress of Maria when she generally wakes up the morning after to find herself in bed with a new temporary pack-mate, and remembers... EVERYTHING that happened during the time her instincts were running the show. its one of the issues with her synthetically-produced condition of Lycanthropy. the hormonal imbalances and strength of her instincts were a major flaw in that batch which she now has to deal with sometimes when she transforms. another, more personal problem this causes her is that Maria has been a closet bisexual for much of her adult life, and is normally too afraid to ask other girls out, though she doesnt have quite the same problem with guys. but when she transforms and loses control, her instincts fully embrace her sexuality and throw out all her inhibitions as well, leading to some interesting "morning after" moments for her...
like normal werewolves, her condition is very contagious, actually moreso contagious than normal lycanthropy. BUT, it's temporary and has no danger of turning a human permanently into a werewolf, (much to the chagrin of several hardcore furries in the fandom i'll bet, lol! ^_^) and her werewolf "thralls" are not as strong as either her or a regular werewolf either. this is the main difference between her and a natural werewolf.
her condition allows her, through bites, nipping, licking, kisses, sexual intercourse of any kind, scratches, inhalation of her excreted "in-heat" pheromones, and long periods of direct large bodily contact with her fur (snuggling against her all night for example), to temporarily transform another human into a pseudo-werewolf for a couple hours, giving her temporary thrall increased strength, perception, wolf-like features, and a strong instinctual desire to obey their new alpha, which she has found comes in handy sometimes!
she can Nom or scratch a particularly uncooperative suspect, and then they're less resistant to her cuffing them and leading them to a patrol car for a while as the thrall tends to show submission to Maria as their alpha, it's not anything like mind control though, a strong willed person can easily fight that instinct with focus, but her sheer size, abilities, and instinct means they cant go very far with her around.
but it only lasts a few hours tops, the modified lycanthropy failing to take hold fully in the humans and completely disappearing from their systems once it wears out. theres only so much that Science could do to mess with the Lycanthropy condition. but it meant that the formula Maria was exposed to was ultimately a failure as a Weapon of Mass Transformation it was nowhere near as effective as something that would cause more permanent cases of lycanthropy from bites and such after the initial dispersal of gas.
she copes with it as best as she can, her department nearly benching her except that she kept TFing and scaring people at the station, so they put her back on the street, where she quickly became known as an extraordinarily effective officer when it came to foot chases, sniffing out drug stashes, locating lost hikers in the nearby national park, and also, for destroying at least five uniforms a week in the "line of duty"
at least she can run at 80mph on most terrain in a sprint and doesnt need to follow roads, otherwise she'd be shredding up patrol car interiors too.. also she's the most physically strong of my werewolf characters, she may not look it but that wolf can throw a small car at you, and unless the criminal is packing silver bullets (most dont in this setting) she's practically invulnerable
was thinking of going with her character as a "reluctant almost-superhero" kinda trope. thinking of putting her somewhere in the same setting as John and Shelly, but she'd do better in a regular city rather than a ravaged warzone so i'd need to expand that setting with a non-war ravaged mostly human country to include her in it
and thats Maria Norton! my new wolf-cop OC who i swear i didnt come up with the concept just to get art of a pretty hispanic woman who cant help but shred those nifty little police uniforms as she TF's into a gorgeous werewolf... ^////^
further character development will occur as i get more art of her and flesh out her character more, but for now, enjoy the embarrassed wolfy cop-girl teef! ^w^
based very roughly off a similar character from a two-part story i wrote years ago, The Laboratory though different character name. also this links to an adult story so beware if that aint your bottle of mountain dew.
i like the mad scientist i created in that old story too, but i'm gonna make him a bit more radical and ambitious with his Science-ey TF-causing shenanigans when i re-introduce him into the setting, was thinking of re-writing him as a younger crazed genius and werewolf supremacist who wants to change all humans and other species of furries and anthros into werewolves, whether they want to or not, via mass attacks of Lycanthropy-spreading agents. but keeps running into problems with the formula cause Lycanthropy was never meant to be spread at the scale he's been dreaming up.
dammit i may have to make him into another OC... making new characters is beginning to get too addictive lol

with her, either direct exposure to the same gas that changed her, (which would be permanent, but give you the same side effects as her, even with males (though at that point its more like issues with being in rut rather than heat, plus the other effects)) or just refresh the physical transformative contact you've with her before it wears out. though it would have to be regular contact to maintain the wolfy form. also, people she changes are not as strong as real werewolves since its not true lycanthropy, but she herself is way stronger, faster, and more powerful than regular werewolves.
her biggest difference from normal weres in my universe is gonna be her heat/hormonal issues and her non-permanent lycanthropy transfer, it was a messed-up SCIENCE!!-variant of Lycanthropy she was affected with which is why she cant really train herself to control her TF's and moods, half the people she winds up changing are outside of her control anyway, lost to her huntress instincts or her mating instincts when her wolf form goes too murr rawr feral if ya know what i mean.

srry i missed this comment lol! ^^;
she definitely would stop giving blood for donation purposes, scientists haven't been able to formulate a cure for her, nor do anything to mitigate her side-effects and symptoms. so untill they figure out exactly whats going on she's only giving blood for research samples.
and it was a Failed WOMTF indeed, the madman responsible has not perfected the formula, and his lab being seized was a huge setback, but he'll be back...
and finally, if you wanna do fan-fics go right ahead! ^_^ just link credit to characters to me and all that standard stuff! also, i would love to read someone elses take on my little world i got here! ^_^
srry, i dont respond to every comment immediately and some get lost until i notice them later, like this one... ^^;

It okay I understand how hectic it can sometimes be on here(I'm behind on cleaning my submissions page out since it is filed at 4,302 sub)
And I see although I'm sure that she must be a big hit with PR events in here community. And I will gladly send you a note with the fan fic before posting it on here to see if you would like to add anything to it. It just that I've been busy with irl and trying to find time to type has been rather hard on me. But I do manage to get some typing done.

believe me i know the feeling, IRL is why i stopped writing almost altogether lol... once in a blue moon i write something.
and as long as the more *ahem* adult side effects she can experience dont happen, she probably would use her wolf form for PR purposes for the department lol! she's alright with being the mascot sometimes!
