Explorers in the Arctic discover a meteor that has some very unusual properties.
If anything, I just wanted to have some excuse to draw a "Husky" helicopter with it's weird intermeshing rotors. It's not quite right but that's what I get for trying to draw it from Memory.

The question for me is, why is the other guy not affected by the meteor...or will he be?
THen again there is the other question of Is the newly-lupine guy snarling menacingly at his friend, or is he just badly uncomfortable from the tight clothing that he's bursting out of, and his growls are misunderstood by his companion? :)

In a way, yes. I kind of liked the original illustrations used in the original "Halt! Who Goes There!" story as it appeared in a reprint of Astounding magazine in the late 1970s. The Artist captured the sad and miserable expression on the creature when it was in it's form between changes.
Also... Some producer of "Horror Bads" kind of stole my original idea of the meteror releasing a lycanthopic "Plague" on the world in a movie where a bite from an affected human and a rise in blood pressure instigated instant change. One thing I did like about the movie though was an affected character while in wolf form was able to crash land a plane to save his lady friend.
I like it when the werewolves can be "People" and not just bloodthirsty, mindless killing machines or targets to be mowed down. "Stay your shot! You'll be killing a concert Pianist!"
