This character doesn't have a name yet, but she's meant to be a member of the same crew as my also unnamed Zeran adventurer.
Her feathers were destroyed in a traumatic event and were replaced by a material that looks like glass, but is obviously more flexible and durable than glass.

They're not artificial. There actually exists a butterfly species with translucent wings.
