At first, I glanced at this picture and moved on to the next. But, then I went back, and really took the time to appreciate the art... The water looks stylized but unquestionably real. The sunlight dancing across the surface adds volumes to the overall presentation, and the way the shadows are handled really adds depth. All that, paired with the reeds beneath the surface, really reminds me of the times I used to spend looking over the edge of my rowboat into the shallow water of my favourite lake while fishing with my dad, growing up.
Even though the little froggy is sad, the rest of the piece carries a very relaxing, safe feeling to it. Almost like his problems will fade away once he jumps in and enjoys the world around him for what it is. A pretty powerful metaphor for all of us.
All in all, this piece speaks to me! it's bittersweet, and the style makes me happy. Keep up the good work! ...And as an afterthought, you have the best FA name pretty much ever.
