Saren was running too fast to school, Larvitar had been hiding to see what Cody wanted with Luke, but he could not see or hear anything when his brother asked Charmander to come in and because of that grace he was too late for the class:
SAREN: Dad always said curiosity killed Meowth, but I could not resist. Luke was hunting beautiful flowers for Mei at Glorious Castle as he said he was doing yesterday and I know Cody has a crush on him, knowing that Charmeleon I'm sure he was there to fight for Luke's love, I wonder who my future brother-in-law is going or Sister-in-law, hahaha. How lucky am I to get in and ...? am? What is that light in the .... AAAAAAAAAAAAH!
One of the Hellstalker ships had shot at the Larvitar school by knocking down the building and wounding and killing many Pokémon who innocently worked or studied there, so Saren's only injury was one of the debris that hit his head and did it to faint.
Meanwhile Ashley was going down the secret passage of Glory guild accompanied by her lence mother, Charmander was too restless to have heard a large explosion at the time that the Charizard had opened the passage, when they reached the last chamber where there where there was Luminous Water Charmander is tired of being quiet:
ASHLEY: Mom what's going on, I should be in school now, what the blast was that?
Lencia held her daughter's shoulders and worried:
LENCIA: Ashley, dear, we're on the attack! The Hellstalkers have invaded the city, I am a member of the council and you are my daughter, we must hide here.The other board members have done the same and the guild will try to contain these monsters.
Ashley was frightened by what her mother said, she had no choice but to stay with Charizard and cheer for the best in town and her friends and especially Saren who was in the middle of the attack.
Nearly there Cody and Luke feel the tremor of the explosion that makes the connect orb in Charmeleon's claw fall to the ground, Totodile then feels a tightness in the heart and is worried about something that even he did not know what it was, put his scarf red and leaves his quarters without hearing Cody call as he tries to catch the fallen orb. Luke runs out of the guild and when he leaves he sees a scene of terror, flames fall from the sky, houses and towers caught fire, several Pokémon ran desperate.
Totodile then looked toward Saren's school and saw the building in ruins, he then ignored the dangers in his route and ran to the place to find his brother. Cody then sees Luke running towards the school and shouts at him to come back, and at that time Glory guild castle is hit by the shots and starts to catch fire and collapse, the blast of the explosion sent the Charmeleon causing it to fall to the ground with His ears humming loudly:
CODY: AArrg .... What the hell is happening here in town ...
KRAUSER: GREETINGS MY CARGO ARGULES!!
CODY: Amm? What the hell is that?
KRAUSER: WHO SPEAKS HERE IS KRAUSER SHADEMERCY, HYDREIGON OF HELLSTALKER ARMADA. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT YOUR CITY WILL BECOME THE NEXT CAPITAL OF OUR COLONY. RESIST AND BE TRANSFORMED IN STONE OR WORSE THING, JOIN US AND BE SAVED!!
Krauser gave his macabre warning while several ships landed in the city and several Hellstalkers with two armbands one in each arm of the colors black and white and without pity or pity attacked and captured the citizens, anyone who tried to fight was turned to stone or beaten by A horde of Hellstalkers, not one of the affected Pokémon was attacking alone.

Rex grinned and touched lightly on his earring with Lucarionite stone thus activating his mega evolution, and from the shaft came an intense light blue flame that formed the blade of his sacred item known as the aura sword, Lucario then said excitedly as he wore Your ExtremeSpeedy along with the sword to hit the Hellstalkers:
REX: Come on, Lance, I've always wanted to fight a lot of them. I feel very excited about this fight!!
Grovyle had a cheery face as he hit his hook in the Hellstalkers and watched Lucario hurting each of them with his aura sword:
LANCE: We were recruited for it, nothing better than glory to rid the world of these abominations of nature!
Lance then activates his Leaf Blade movement and starts attacking the Hellstalkers who kept on appearing, at that point at the base Taire was doing the emergency actions which was to communicate with Madame Xerneas by the gadget while destroying crucial material from the Soldiers so that Dark Matter Did not take notice of them:
TAIRE: Madame we're being attacked by hordes of Hellstalkers who are invading Argules, what can we do?!
Xerneas then begins to think for a few seconds and says in an imperative way:
XERNEAS: Taire destroy the base Soldier and flee Argules with the others immediately!
Braixen was very frightened by Madame's request, she was asking them all to leave an entire city full of Pokémon, Taire says indignantly with the legendary Pokémon:
TAIRE: MADAME, I DO NOT ACCEPT ABANDONING A WHOLE CITY, THE LADY CAN ONLY BE PLAYING!
Xerneas then said trying to justify his actions:
XERNEAS: Taire we do not have personnel now to make a counterattack or protect the citizens, so I'll repeat it just one more time. I WANT YOU TO DESTROY THE BASE AND LEAVE ARGULES AND COME TO THE BASIS OF THE TREE OF LIFE, IMMEDIATELY!!
Madame Xerneas then turns off the transmission before Taire could complain leaving Braixen upset, yet she had to follow the orders given to her and using her Psychic move she destroys everything at the base with her power, Rex and Lance who had already restrained her First infantry of Hellstalkers hear the noise inside the base and they decided to go there only when they were arriving in the door to Braixen left the construction that exploded soon after, Lucario says furious:
REX: TAIRE WHAT RADIOS YOU DONE!! I AND BID ARE DEFENDING THE BASE FOR YOU SEND IT BY THE SKY!!!
Taire who was visibly angry spoke loudly with a tone of annoyance:
TAIRE: DO NOT BLAME ME! BLAME MADAME XERNEAS THAT SENT ME I DESTROY THE BASIS AND FLEE WITH YOU FROM THE CITY!! And, wow how many Hellstalkers you've seen, you've been busy, have not you?
Rex took a deep breath and looked around him, then he closed his eyes pondering enough, and said with a decisive air,
REX: I will not run away alive to fight these creatures and I will not retreat!!
Lance smiles and accompanies the leaves:
LANCE: I was born in Argules, I will not leave my city because of this cursed plebian.
Taire was already agitated seeing that the two companions would stay to fight, Braixen did not know what to say to her it was wrong to go against Madame Xerneas, but it was also wrong to turn her back on innocents, she then clapped her paw on her branch and pointed it at Rex with determination:
REX: SO, WE STAYED!!
Lucario then shook his head in denial and held Taire's paws staring straight into the eyes of Braixen, who turned red with Rex's approach:
REX: Taire, this mission is too difficult and Xerneas has given a direct order to you, there is no way to stay here. Besides, Cody went looking for this guy from Luke, it's vital that you two get out of here as fast as possible!
Taire saw Rex's gaze and knew he was right, yet before going after Cody the Braixen said,
TAIRE: It's good that you win ... okay?
Lucario only grinned and nodded confirmation as Braixen drifted farther and farther across the gray smoke sky over his flaming bat, ashore Rex and Lance ran through the streets of blood behind more Hellstalkers to fight.

Fear then smiled at having found the information he wanted, and then said with a playful tone,
FEAR: Thank you for sharing this with me, I wanted to do a trick if it is allowed, look, I found this deck with one of the Pokémon I turned into stone. I want you to pick a letter!

Fear responds calmly to Servine who was impressed by what she had seen:
FEAR: The cards in my deck are bathed in juices and teas from various seeds and special herbs. The letter he took was from Sleep Seed tea, a drink that just smells already makes the Pokémon sleep soundly. And apparently, the reason behind this invasion is to capture a Totodile with a red handkerchief that holds a peculiar power.
Servine, upon hearing that, immediately associated with Luke and explained the whole situation to the Zoroark who warned Flush through the telepathic connection they had made, Slowbro then asked July if any of the Pokémon policemen had seen a Totodile as Luke. And as the delegate gave the data to Flush the Pokémon contacted Fear to go where Totodile possibly would be, and without wasting time both Zoroark and Servine ran to Luke's possible location.
Not far from there Luke had finally found Saren lying on the ground near the school. Totodile hid with him inside a house that had been abandoned by the family who should have fled there, and took advantage of the solitude to cure the bleeding of Larvitar's head. Shortly after Saren wakes up and sees Luke sitting in the corner of a house embraced him, the emotion was so great that the Larvitar did not hold back and cried hugging his brother:
SAREN: LUKE * Snif *, what's going on here * snif * why they destroyed the school and what screams are these * hiccup *?!
Totodile then explains the whole situation to the Larvitar, without hiding a single detail even telling the reason for Cody's earlier visit that day. Each word only made Saren more apprehensive and afraid, Luke then hugged him tightly and said that it was okay for him to be afraid and that now they would have to help each other more than ever. The Larvitar then suggests that they flee the city to be safe until a better time to return, Luke agrees only that seeing the state of the injured brother he tells Saren to wait inside the house as he leaves and see if the way would be free for them to go.
Luke opens the abandoned house door slowly and looks around without finding any sign of life, so he leaves carefully looking to the right and left to see or anticipate some imminent danger and inside the house Saren watched him through the magical eye of the door a Luck of his brother. Totodile looked relieved, he was not seeing anything wrong and beckoned for Larvitar to leave.
But when Saren was opening the door Luke screams to make Larvitar go back inside the house and look through the magical eye once more, Totodile screams because a Ivysaur had pinned his neck with his Vine Whip and Luke was with more and more missing of air. The grass Pokémon then suspends Totodile in the air that was already squirming for not being able to breathe laughing Ivysaur says with great pleasure:
IVYSAUR: Krauser will be very happy to see that I took the Totodile he wanted so much, I'm going to get a promotion for it!
Saren goes into despair because he does not know what to do and who to call, he wanted to help his brother a lot, the problem is that the only strong enough power could cause an even greater catastrophe and the others would only cause him to be captured too. Luke was crying hard that he would never see Saren again, and that he had failed to protect the only thing in the world that made him fight.
It does not take long for Totodile to lose consciousness, leaving the Ivysaur even happier, when as lightning Cody appeared flying in his special cape and with his movement Thunderpunch gives a violent punch in the vineyards of the grass Pokémon cutting them and making Luke fall. For the luck of the Pokémon the Charmander grabbed it before it could fall to the ground, and the Ivysaur looked at the fire Pokémon with much hatred that it had ruined its perfect prey, just as Cody had hatred of the Grass Pokémon because he had hurt His preciousness, and so with the burning look of the two Pokémon a battle of life and death by the fate of Luke was about to begin ......
